HAMILTON

A late 1800s rowhouse received a complete update with a contemporary look. After a series of unsympathetic renovations over the years, none of the home’s original architectural features were salvageable. Our client wanted a clean, simple look with a modern aesthetic that made best use of the living space, which was very narrow, but spread over four levels. We placed a master suite on the top floor, three more bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor, and kitchen, living, and dining areas on the first. In the basement we squeezed in a small media room and a laundry/mechanical room. High ceilings and white walls enhance the feeling of spaciousness inside the narrow walls.
